This is our final trip of the year to Wales to do some mountain activities such as navigation and map interpretation and MAYBE we’ll get to see the summit of Cader Idris, weather permitting, but we’ll probably stay lower down. We’re also planning a bike ride along the picturesque Mawddach estuary into Barmouth, the popular seaside town located on the west coast of Snowdonia. There is a long sandy beach and a pretty harbour but more importantly there is Knickerbockers – an amazing ice-cream parlour serving up a dizzying array of delicious ice cream and candy. Read more
Welcome back, we start the new term tonight.
We did have plans to be outside but this beautiful afternoon weather has lulled us into a false sense of security and we’re planning for a down pour that we don’t want but is coming anyway. Read more
As you know, CAG are running the Fete Games at this year’s Dorridge Day. We’re delighted to have been invited by the Knowle and Dorridge Round Table to take on this challenge. It gives us the opportunity to advertise CAG at a long running community event and raise funds for future CAG events and equipment.
Thank you to the CAG members and parents who have volunteered their time on Sunday. If you are one of those volunteers please read on for all the information you’ll need on the day.

Please read the attached Trip Information carefully and let us know if you have any questions.
There are two sets of arrangements for this week due to activities and leader numbers:
- Bigs and YL’s: will be at Olton Mere. Usual times and requirements, make sure to bring a drink and a change of clothes.
- Smalls are in the bike ride that is doing to be leaving from the car park at Dorridge Park. (Location: https://goo.gl/maps/pzwD9fNNqzn) Please meet at the car park at 6.45pm – not the usual 7pm. Please make sure that your bikes are roadworthy i.e. good tyres with enough air in them, two brakes (that work), two wheels that will stay on, etc etc. Each rider MUST have a helmet. If you don’t have a helmet we won’t be taking you on the ride. The ride will go out to Warwickshire and back again via a pub for a cold drink and a snack so bring some money if you want. You will certainly require a drink as it will be very warm. The ride will finish back at the park at 9pm.
That’s all, let us know if you have any questions.
