Challenge Adventure Group:
Challenging Adventures & The DofE Award
Challenge Adventure Group is the working name of CAG Trust, a charity and voluntary youth organisation for Knowle, Dorridge, Solihull and beyond that started in January 2009 to get boys aged 10 and above out and about enjoying everything the world has to offer.
As our name suggests, we provide challenging, adventurous and fun activities for young people in their leisure time through which they will be able to develop their physical and mental skills and capacities enabling them to reach their full potential and becoming positive, active and happy citizens.
How do we do this? We have weekly meetings on Tuesday evenings between 7pm and 9pm at our base at CAG Towers (also known as Bickenhill Church Hall – click for directions) and undertake weekend trips anywhere in the UK or abroad. We also run a week long ski trip bi-annually to anywhere in Europe lucky enough to have us
During evening meetings we a undertake a range of fun (and educational) activities and a load of games, such as Baseball, Prisoner Ball, First Aid Training, Navigation exercises.
We also go away once a month on an outdoor weekend trip. These trips involve, camping, hiking, staying in Youth Hostels, sailing, climbing, abseiling, ghyll scrambling in the Lake District etc. The opportunities are endless, and we intend to try them all…
Who runs “Challenge Adventure Group”?
CAG is run by a team of very dedicated volunteers who are unpaid and dedicate more time than you can imagine to giving boys from all over Solihull experiences they will remember forever.
For more information please see our leaders page where you can find out all about them.
Duke of Edinburgh’s Award – the DofE
