February Initial D of E Exercise

The first weekend trip of the year is coming up on the weekend of February 16th & 17th.

This is an initial D of E exercise but is open to ALL members:

• Those who haven’t started D of E but want to have a go at a short expedition and get away for the weekend to Andy’s
• ALL D of E participants:
  • This is a good introduction for new participants
  • All previous participants will be able to boost their skills and learn new techniques
  • The un-assessed Silver Assessment group will be able to get in a good practice before their assessment as a ‘new’ group with different members.

The trip will involve all participants navigating their team from a start point to Andy’s farmhouse for the over night stop, making evening meals and camping. The participants will finish off with a short journey the following day. All participants will be carrying their own kit and share the load of the team kit (stoves, fuel, food etc).

Please will all members who are attending print the attached document, complete the permission form and return to the address provided by the deadline shown – we need all forms back by that date so plans for the trip can be completed.
