Sorry for the delay but it’s taken lots of attempts to get the program right and sucked up huge amounts of time to do so. The great new is it’s done!!

Since it is the summer term we have focused on getting our non-expeditioners out of doors, and wet, as much as possible. For our ‘expeditioners’ we will be ramming the final couple of training items for the D of E expeditions in to the few weeks that we have available this term. We have also put in one or two non D of E items in for the expeditioning group to have a bit of fun and build the team work between them.
A couple of notes for you:
- All members taking part in D of E are required to attend every meeting night from now on. There is a lot of work to get done and new teams to build during the outdoor activities that we have scheduled.
- New members evening, May 19th: we will send you some information about this separately but we are inviting a new set of young members to come and try us out for an evening and a separate day of paintball. This is a crucial evening for the future of CAG to build our next generation of members and we need your help to do this. As a reward, and to have a good time as well, we will be off to play paintball on May 31st with as many people as possible: those who invite some potential “Smalls” members to the new member evening AND the paintball day will be able to play either at half cost or for free.
- We have two sets of D of E trips going out this term. D of E participants involved in those trips MUST be able to make these events. If these dates are an issue please contact us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
- Other events this term include:
- Knowle Fun Run, May 17th: we would like to enter a couple of teams to this event. It is a great event, not difficult and if you haven’t tried it, surprisingly fun (hence the name?). You can enter at www.knowlefunrun.org.uk
- Dorridge Fun Run, June 7th: as above but you can bike around this one! There are 3 or 8 mile routes, dead easy. Plus, we are a beneficiary so please enter!! Enter at www.dorridgefunrun.org
- Mountain Biking, Cannock Chase, June 14th: come for a ride on the Follow the Dog trail. Anyone will be able to do it, you just need a bike (which works) and a helmet. Details will be sent out closer to the day.
That’s it, please let us know if you have any questions!
