We’ve got a couple of REALLY busy weeks coming up and need to highlight some events with you as well as program changes. Please make sure to read the information below carefully and let us know your intentions via the online forms below or with the paperwork supplied. Here we go:
Update to the program

This is at Blackwell Adventure and is for all year 9 and 10 members only BUT only if Blackwell Adventure have space that night, they haven’t confirmed this yet. If they can’t take us we will be doing the advertised program at Bickenhill. All other members will get a chance to go Rafting the following week. Please note: All Yr 9 & 10 members will be given the route to prepare for the D of E assessment expedition this night and will need to be taken home. DO NOT go home without the materials and understanding needed to do the planning for this expedition.
There is a cost for this evening of £7 per person – please make cheques payable to “Challenge Adventure Group” or make a transfer payment with the name of the member and “J3rd Raft” as the reference.
You need to let us know if you are attending this evening by using the form below:

Dorridge Fun Run – June 15th
This year, CAG is a major beneficiary of the event and we would like all members to either take part in the event themselves and attend to assist running our presence at the event and helping the organisers in general. We are strongly requesting ALL members to be involved – this is very important.
The run itself will start at 10.15am, with most participants back by 11am, depending on their mode of transport and length of route (3 or 8 miles). It’s not a run and it’s not a race though: it isn’t timed and the choice of courses can be covered by either walking, running or cycling.
As CAG are a beneficiary the fun run will double the amount of sponsorship we raise for CAG: for every £1 raised by CAG members the Fun Run will double it! This really is a significant contribution and we need as many people as possible to take part and gain sponsorship. The forms are attached here.
Dorridge Fun Run needs marshals!
Dorridge Fun Run are appealing for any adults who can donate an hour or two to take part as a marshal or other assistant. The event can’t take part without enough marshals so please consider if you or anyone else you know can assist in the running of the event. The email address to contact the organisers through is DorridgeFunrun@gmail.com
All the details and sponsorship form are in the attached letter.
You can get started now by registering at http://www.dorridgefunrun.org and get your sponsorship form filled!
Good luck, let us know if you have any questions – we’ll see you on June 15th!!
Wales Hiking and Biking Weekend: June 20th – 22nd
The trips forms and information were sent out just before the half term holiday – we need to know numbers as soon as possible so please remember you can drop off your forms before the meeting next week or bring them back to the meeting night – all details are in the trip documentation attached here. The deadline for returning forms and payment is this coming Tuesday evening. It’s going to be a great trip!
Canoe & Kayak Evening: June 24th at Leam Boat Centre
This is a meeting night where we will all be out on the water. Smalls and young leaders will be in Canoe’s whilst eveyone else will be in Kayaks. BUT: we need to be sure of numbers by June 10th so please complete the online form below.
The evening will start in Leamington at 7pm and will finish at 8.30pm. The cost will be £11 per person.
Finally: Paintball on June 28th
We have arranged a day out at Delta Force Paintball in Earlswood for the day of Saturday June 28th. We have enough places for everyone who wants to go and friends / family will be welcome to attend as well but if we are oversubscribed and can’t get more places we will give priority to current members first and those that handed in their forms earlier than others thereafter. Members don’t have to attend with other family, but family members are welcome to come along if they want.
The cost for the paintballing is £37 and includes 500 paintballs – lunch will not be provided so please make sure to bring your own or money to purchase food on the day. If you have a quick trigger finger and need more paintballs they are available on the day. The day starts at 9am and will finish at around 4.30pm.
Term Winners
Those members who have won a team prize in the last two terms are eligible to have their cost reduced to £18.50 per player. Each other member will pay the full cost of £37. The last two teams who have won the prize are teams 3 (Winter 2013) and 4 (spring 2014) – well done fellahs, see you at the paintball!
Again, all the details are in the attached file. You can enter using the form below but we need your paperwork as soon as possible thereafter. We need all entries by June 6th.
That’s it, we’re done – please let us know if you have any questions.
Regards
