As per the Outdoor Trip Program for 2019 we are off to the Lake District in September to attempt to ghyll scramble UP the River Esk. We tried to do it in October last year but the epic trip we were expecting turning into a BIBLICAL epic due to the weather. It was SOOO wet we didn’t get it done, so we are going to try it again this September.
This trip is OPEN TO ALL members, regardless of age or whether you have been with us on any previous trip – but it will be EPIC.
We have put it in the trip program for the weekend of Sept 20 – 22. However, the accommodation we have found is more expensive than we anticipated but can take more people as a result. We can also go the weekend after on Sept 27 – 29 but to a smaller bunkhouse so we can take fewer people.
We need to know which weekend to do? And that’s where you come in:
Please can you help us by indicating which weekend (or both) your son would like to do, or if you aren’t going to take part at all.
- The weekend of Sept 20 – 22 will cost £140.
- The weekend of Sept 27 – 29 will cost £150 – inline with the anticipated cost in the Outdoor Trip Program 2019.
It’s a simple form to fill out and will give us all the information we need. If the member can take part in either weekend please say yes to both but we won’t be doing two weekends, it will tell us numbers that can attend each weekend.
We won’t hold you to your answer, this is not a booking, but it will give us an indication and help us with our planning.
You can fill out the form here: https://forms.gle/aD4BmKu5TL2BF7Yt9
It will take you just a few seconds to do, but we need to do it AS SOON AS POSSIBLE or we risk losing both options. Please can we set a world record by getting all responses in before tomorrow at 5pm (UK – if you are away).
Thank you for your help!
