For those going to play paintball tomorrow:
You’ve seen the weather forecast all week: it’s going to be COLD. The wind will be blowing through and making it colder still so you need to wrap up warm.
Please also bear in mind that the location is a bucket for any rainfall, it collects and stays so with all the wet weather we have had recently expect the playing areas to be very wet. We strongly suggest use of wellies and thermals to stay as warm and dry as possible.
We’ll still have a great day if you keep yourselves warm and as dry as possible though – and we’ll be running around a lot destroying the opposition so that will help as well.
Please get to the paintball centre for 9am so we can book in and get a good undercover area with lockers to base ourselves – if you don’t know where the paintball centre is a map is attached (click here).
A couple of notes:
- There are a lot of players in our group so it will be a great day, but we will need storage for personal possessions, please be prepared to rent a locker if needed: lockers initially cost £5 and £3 is returned when the key is returned.
- Lunch has not been included in the cost of the day so you will need to either bring some money to order the (revolting) pizza that is on offer or bring your own food. There are some sweet snacks available to purchase on site.
- You can leave the day at any time but you will need to be able to call for your chauffeur to collect you if you leave earlier than planned – please make sure you have either a phone or the required numbers to call.
- The anticipated finish time is around 3.45pm – 4pm
- You will probably need a change of clothes, certainly footwear, before anyone lets you in their car at the end!!
- If you haven’t played before, you will find out that paintballs hurt – but only for a short time. Don’t let this worry you, it’s all part of the fun, but you will need to either bring some gloves to wear or purchase some from the centre for about £5
- All your other kit is supplied: body armour, helmet and visor, overalls, paintballs and marker.
- Finally: if we have your paintball permission form already you are done, but if we don’t have it please don’t forget it, a copy of the form is attached for you (click here).
