Tomorrow night we are in Bickenhill with a common program between the Smalls and Bigs.
It’s a regular start with a couple of activities and then we are staying inside to do some First Aid work as the first expedition of the season is coming up in a couple of weeks time and we need to get some skills going. Everyone will be inside for the evening, you don’t need to bring outdoor clothing, we aren’t planning on being outside.
Doors open at 6.50pm as normal, usual pick up time of 9pm.
Feb 28th: Skiing at Ackers
Our next session after the half term break next week is Feb 28th when we will be at Ackers Ski centre. There are two options for this evening:
- A recreational skier that can use the ski slope will be able to ski without an instructor for the evening on the slope provided that the individual can use a button drag lift, be able to carry out snow plough turns and control their speed. If you can do that, you can ski on the full slope.
- If you are a beginner skier and need some instruction to get started we will provide an hour long session. i.e if you can’t use a drag lift, control your speed and carry out snow plough turns then you will need an instructor led session until you can.
The cost of the evening is £10 per person and will run from 7.30pm at Ackers, normal pick up time. Either option costs the same, there is no additional cost for having an instructor and improving skills – normally is it £19.50 per person so if you need a lesson this is a bargain!
We need to know who wants to do recreational skiing and who wants to do recreational skiing – WE NEED TO KNOW BY TOMORROW EVENING, PLEASE WILL YOU LET US KNOW BEFOREHAND OR ASK YOUR SON TO LET US KNOW TOMORROW EVENING WHEN WE DO THE REGISTER AT THE START OF THE SESSION. If they aren’t going to be attending we also need to know that.
Bring a friend along!!
If you have a friend who wants to join us for the evening please bring them along, happy to have them but they will need to bring a permission form as we will be taking responsibility for them.
