As you know from the program, we are running an outdoor activities weekend in the Lake District during the weekend of October 14th – 16th.

This is a trip for all members, regardless of age or size, and is subsidised by a grant. All you have to do to get on the trip is be one of the first people to say YES. There are LIMITED spaces on this trip, so don’t delay if you want to do it – we CAN’T take everyone.

The activities will include:

  • Ghyll Scrambling / Canyoning: it’s a mix of climbing up and sliding / jumping down rivers and waterfalls
  • Climbing / Abseiling: a half day of short climbs with abseils suitable for all members whether experienced or beginners
  • Mountain Hike: we will finish the trip with a hike around or up a local peak depending on the abilities of the group / members, weather conditions and time requirements.

We will be leaving Bickenhill at 5.30pm on the 14th, returning as early as we can make it on the evening of the 16th. Our accommodation is indoors in the Cockermouth area in a bunkhouse.

This is an absolutely FANTASTIC trip at an unbelievable cost thanks to our funding from the Big Lottery Fund. Don’t miss out, the funding will be gone soon!!

All the details are in the attached – click here to view. If you wish to take part don’t delay getting your application forms and fee to us – the deadline is September 23rd and we don’t have enough spaces for everyone.

Please let us know if you have any questions – happy to answer them.
