As you know we have asked D of E participants to get their accounts as up to date as possible so we can sign off activities and present awards at the end of this term.
There is now a more urgent deadline for you to get this done: the whole of eDofE will be taken offline from 5pm on Friday November 28th (this Friday) until December 3rd for a massive system upgrade.
Coming back to a new eDofE will be a challenge for us all to get used to and gives us no time to sort out issues with award sections in time for us to sign them off and get the certificates issued to us in time for the presentation on December 16th.
So here’s what you need to do:
- Save your activities for “approval” if your section status still says “Draft” at the top of it. We have asked 6 or 7 times for you to do this, there are STILL 20 activities in the Bronze group alone that are in Draft status, a decrease of just 4 since the last time we asked you do to it. We will be having a chat with those that haven’t done this tonight.If your activity is in draft mode we won’t look at it as we don’t know that you are ready for us to look at it, so we won’t. If we don’t look at it, it won’t be signed off. If we don’t sign it off, even if it is ready to be done so, you won’t get your award this time around, even if you have finished everything. So, it’s up to you: you are doing the hard work, but you won’t get your award if you don’t do this one small little thing. And you shouldn’t be doing your activity if it is in draft mode anyway as we haven’t approved it. Please, pretty please, check each of your activity sections for “Draft” status at the top of it. If it says “Draft” you need to submit it for approval.
- Get your evidence up to date: You need to get your assessor reports written up and SCANNED so they can be uploaded to your account. You MUST use the award report cards in the award booklet you have been given. Any other evidence such as diaries, photos and other electronic media will help and make your award more worthwhile.
- If you need to do any of this, do it all NOW: don’t wait!!! If you wait, it won’t be done. The deadline is just that, a deadline. It is not a diary date to leave everything until. So please, pretty please, get it done.
