Following our awesome 2010, 2012 and 2014 ski trips we are starting to plan our 2016 ski trip. Our previous trips have been described by those that went on them as the best trips they have ever been on – including the famous Arden Year 10 ski trip!!!
This time, we will be returning to Sansicario in the Milky Way region of Northern Italy. This is an area of linked ski resorts and villages allowing us extensive opportunities to explore the area.
This is a trip available to ALL members regardless of experience from any age group: from beginner all the way to expert, from year 7 to year 13 (in 2015/16 school year). We have had many year 7 members with us in the past – this is equally applicable to ALL members.
As in previous years, we are going to be travelling with Halsbury Ski, a company with 27 years of experience arranging trips of this type. They are an excellent company and take care of everything for us, allowing us to enjoy the holiday and not worry about arrangements.
Fund Raising
We are keen to make the trip as accessible as we can to all members who wish to go. To enable us to do that we are arranging a program of fundraising to reduce the cost for each participant as much as possible. Each participant who wishes to take part in the trip will be asked to take part in the fundraising program although this is optional – all details in the enclosed pack.
The fundraising will start next week and will count towards any trip any member may wish to take part in, including D of E expeditions and any weekly meeting costs.
We are starting with car washing every Saturday morning at Arden School with the first event taking place on Saturday October 11th at 9am.
The fundraising program will assist any member who wants to take part and could raise £300 or more per member.
Other Funding Concerns
We want everyone who wants to take part in this trip have the opportunity to do so. If you have other concerns about funding the trip feel free to discuss these with us in strict confidence – we’ll do our best to help.

If you are in, great, all you have to do is return you form and cheque to the address shown at the bottom of the documentation (112 Browns Lane, Knowle).

We need to get applications returned by the end of this month in order to guarantee places with the ski company so please get them back to us on time – if you are interested in going but can’t return an application by this time please let us know.
